The purpose of the pilot is to determine the best path forward to bringing Carousel to life, the logistics of the program, and which features are critical on day one.

By participating in the pilot, you will lock in founding membership status for life, which includes exclusive perks, discounts, and programming. Most importantly, you will have a say in building the future of luxury ownership.

The pilot will last for three months from the start of the first session.

When the pilot period concludes, we will begin expanding the program! Your bag will continued to be shared on the platform, business as usual, while we build out the experience.

Yes! If you are interested in selling your share or buying a new bag, please let us know. Please note that we are keeping the pilot community small, so there is a chance that we will be unable to find a match for your share.

We’d love to be introduced to fellow handbag stans! Let us know, and we will be in touch. Given the small size of the pilot, they may have to wait for the next phase, but we’ll put them at the top of the waitlist.

We will collect feedback regularly throughout the pilot. However, we encourage feedback on Carousel at any time! Feel free to reach out directly. We want to build Carousel with our community, and we need your feedback to do so!
Logistics

Once matched with your bagmates, we will collect payment and immediately reach out to schedule sessions. All slots will be available to reserve for the length of the pilot for all members at once and will be bookable on a first-come, first- serve basis.

Each session is one week long and the number of total sessions will be determined by how many shares you own. Sessions can be booked back-to-back. We will try to coordinate a pick-ups and drop-offs on the same day, but we are asking for an allowance of 1 day if that is not possible.

At the start of the pilot, we will send out the bookable periods for you and your co-owners to choose from. You and your bagmates will then submit a ranked list of preferences and any “hard outs” (i.e. out of town for two weeks).

We will do our best to accommodate any change in plans, but it will ultimately be left up to the flexibility of your bagmates.

We will provide a pick up and delivery window at both sides of your booking. Within that period, you will be able to choose a two hour window, and we will meet you wherever you are. There just needs to be someone — you, a friend, a doorman, a colleague, a situationship — to receive the bag and provide the security code we will text you ahead of time.

Trust and Safety

All pilot participants are personal friends, colleagues, or friends of friends and have met 1:1 with us. At full launch, all of our members will go through a hired third-party background check.

For the pilot, all of our bags will be sourced directly from brands, reputable resale platforms that provide authentication guarantees and documentation, or other members who will submit their items for third-party authentication.

When we began our customer discovery process, so many of you expressed interest in know who your bagmates are, and we do not want to stand in the way of a beautiful fashion friendship. However, to maximize the comfort of our community, we will prompt you for an opt-in to whether you want to share information (name and social media handles) with your co-owners.

We will use white glove delivery service to transport the bags to and from each booking. To ensure that every bag arrives safely and discretely, we will deliver in unbranded dust bags. Please ensure this dust bag is included with your bag on pickup.

Every bag will be cleaned and inspected before delivery to you. If extensive cleaning or repair is necessary, we will seek professional services.

While we do not anticipate major issues, sometimes things happen! Every bag in the pilot will be fully insured by Carousel at no cost to you. In the public launch, insurance options will be included at various membership tiers.
